On August 26, 2025, HSCRANE successfully delivered four customized straddle carriers to a client in Saudi Arabia. The project supports the automation upgrade of a western Saudi Arabian ports container yard system.

With growing container throughput, traditional yard handling methods can no longer meet modern logistics demands. The client sought a high-performance straddle carrier system to achieve faster stacking, flexible movement, and smart scheduling. HSCRANE, leveraging its expertise in lifting and material handling, provided a fully customized solution. The design ensures stable and reliable operation under high temperature, dust, and long-duration workloads.

  • Design Phase: HSCRANE engineers analyzed the port layout, container paths, and yard traffic flow. They designed dual steering systems and modular spreaders, enabling flexible movement in narrow spaces.
  • Manufacturing and Testing: High-strength Q345B steel and finite element analysis were used for structural optimization. Each unit passed full-load lifting, braking, and endurance tests, fully compliant with FEM and ISO standards.
  • Installation and Training: HSCRANE dispatched an experienced technical team for on-site assembly, commissioning, and safety certification. Performance during testing was excellent — high positioning accuracy and agile steering met multi-station operation needs.
  • Operation and Results: To ensure efficient operation, HSCRANE provided training for operators and maintenance teams. This included remote diagnostics, fault response, and preventive maintenance guidance. After commissioning, operational efficiency increased by 35% compared to traditional truck systems.
