HSCRANE 40 Ton RTG Crane Supporting Logistics Park Upgrade in the Middle East

Release time:Jan-30-2026

In recent years, the Middle East has accelerated port and inland container logistics park construction. This growth is driven by the Belt and Road Initiative and regional logistics hub strategies. A comprehensive logistics park is located along an inland logistics corridor in the UAE. The project name has not been disclosed. It mainly serves port transshipment, cross-border land transport, and regional distribution services. This places higher requirements on container yard equipment.

●Large site area with high operating frequency

●High temperature, strong sunlight, and sandstorm environment

●Requirement for flexible and mobile lifting equipment without rail foundations

●Balance of efficiency, safety, and long-term operating costs

Existing equipment could no longer meet the growing throughput demand. The customer decided to introduce a new generation of rubber tyred gantry cranes. This upgrade aimed to improve yard handling capacity and overall operational efficiency. After comparing multiple international suppliers, the customer selected HSCRANE. A customized 40-ton RTG solution was finally chosen.

Customer Requirement Overview

During early technical discussions, the customer required stable long-term operation in Middle East high temperatures. Maximum summer operating temperatures reach 45–50°C. To improve yard land utilization, the crane needed high stacking capability. It had to support 1 over 5 and 1 over 6 container stacking requirements. For planning flexibility, the crane needed rail-free operation. This reduced dependence on infrastructure foundations. The customer also emphasized safety configurations and maintenance convenience. This ensured long-term operational safety and efficiency.

Equipment Solution and Technical Configuration

Based on these requirements, HSCRANE engineers customized a 40-ton rubber tyred gantry crane. Core configurations include the following.

●Rated lifting capacity: 40 tons for 20ft and 40ft containers

●Diesel generator and optimized electrical control system for local power conditions

●Reinforced main structure design ensuring stability in high temperatures

●Multi-wheel drive and steering system improving yard maneuverability

●Wind-resistant design with wind locking devices for desert gusts

●Intelligent monitoring system including load display, anti-collision, and travel limits

Compared with traditional RTGs, the HSCRANE solution excels in environmental adaptability. It also delivers superior long-term reliability. It is especially suitable for the Middle East and similar regions.

Production, Delivery, and Installation Implementation

After technical confirmation, the project quickly entered the production phase. HSCRANE completed the following key steps according to milestones.

●Factory manufacturing and pre-assembly testing completed before shipment to reduce site risks

●Modular transportation to Middle East ports ensuring safe arrival on site

●On-site assembly and commissioning with HSCRANE engineers and local teams

●Full load testing and operator training including trial lifts and yard demonstrations

The entire delivery process followed the planned schedule. The equipment was successfully commissioned for operation.

Project Results and Customer Feedback

After commissioning, overall operational efficiency improved significantly at the logistics park. Container yard efficiency increased by about 30 percent. Turnover speed increased and peak congestion was effectively reduced. High stacking capability enabled better use of limited land. The crane operated stably under high temperature and sandstorm conditions. Failure rates remained low with clear maintenance cycles. This effectively reduced long-term operating pressure.

Customer feedback confirmed high satisfaction with the RTG solution. It met current high-intensity operational demands. It also reserved capacity for future business expansion.

This project verifies the effectiveness of customized RTG cranes in Middle East logistics environments. It improves yard efficiency and operational reliability. It also demonstrates HSCRANE technical strength and international delivery experience.
