HSCRANE 110 Ton Travel Lift Exported to Phuket, Thailand

Release time:Jul-03-2026

As global yacht tourism recovers, Southeast Asia’s yacht infrastructure sees a new peak. Recently, HSCRANE successfully designed, manufactured, and delivered a 110-ton travel lift. It was for a high-end Phuket yacht club. Its successful use greatly boosted the marina’s vessel maintenance capacity. It also strengthened HSCRANE’s brand influence in Southeast Asia.

Project Background and Client Pain Points

Phuket is a famous yacht hub in Asia. It hosts many global luxury yachts and catamarans all year round. Our client is a comprehensive yacht marina. They are currently undergoing a phase-two expansion. During early contact, their engineering head shared their real pain points:

Lifting Capacity Bottleneck: The original 50-ton travel lift operated at full capacity. It failed to serve growing 80-100 ton superyachts.

Extreme Anti-Corrosion Challenge: Thailand has a tropical monsoon climate. It features high temperatures, high humidity, and high salt all year. Traditional painting processes easily peel off in this marine environment. This causes severe corrosion of the equipment’s structural parts.

Limited Space: The marina’s land parking area is very compact. The equipment needs extreme mobility for precise vessel positioning.

Customized Design for Tropical Marine Environments

We wanted to ensure the travel lift lasts over 15 years in Phuket. So we added special manufacturing processes.

Heavy Anti-Corrosion Coating: The steel structure underwent Sa2.5 shot blasting. It uses a three-layer marine coating standard. The total paint thickness reaches 240μm. This effectively resists salt spray corrosion.

Hydraulic Pipeline Protection: All exposed hydraulic pipes use highly anti-corrosive stainless steel. Key valve blocks have waterproof breathable covers. This effectively prevents short circuits caused by condensation.

Flexible High-Strength Slings: Equipped with imported high-strength polyester flexible slings. They bear heavy loads and have smooth surfaces. They never damage the expensive fiberglass yacht hull during lifting.

Dynamic Synchronous Lifting: A large yacht’s center of gravity is rarely central. We combined proportional multi-way valves with PLC controls. This ensures millimeter-level synchronous lifting even with an offset gravity center.

Transport, Installation, and Commissioning Record

The 110-ton travel lift is ultra-long and ultra-wide heavy equipment. To reduce shipping costs, HSCRANE engineers used a modular assembly structure early on. The whole equipment passed strict overload static and dynamic tests in the factory. Then it was reasonably disassembled and packed. Main girders and legs were strapped in flat racks. Precision pump stations and electrical cabinets were safely placed in containers. The cargo left Shanghai Port and arrived at Laem Chabang Port by sea. Large flatbed trucks transported it to Phuket.

A week before the equipment arrived, three senior HSCRANE installation engineers reached Phuket. With precise flange holes and modular designs, local cranes helped us. We finished flange docking and piping in 12 days. We also quickly completed the electrical wiring of the massive host. During the subsequent load commissioning, we test-lifted a 95-ton three-deck luxury yacht. The travel lift ran smoothly without abnormal noises. Its 360-degree pivot steering showed amazing flexibility in the narrow dock.

Client Feedback and Travel Lift Results

At the handover training meeting, the marina’s operations director highly praised the HSCRANE equipment:

“This is the smoothest handling equipment we have ever used. The remote control is very ergonomic. A single operator walking on the ground can control this massive machine completely. Since using this 110-ton travel lift, our premium yacht launch efficiency jumped 40%. We now accept more superyachts from the Middle East and Europe wintering here. The Chinese manufacturing quality of HSCRANE is truly amazing.”
